i am really interested in doing something akin to this at beloit. please dont get thrown off by the promise of "girl power inside" on the main page. the concept is neither trite nor trendy. check out their mission statement. it makes me weep! this is combatting what has made me so mad for so long; the fact that girls are never taught basic skills when they're young nor are they encouraged to try adventurous hobbies. (hobbies at all for that matter, dont get me started.)
since im the only one who is writing on this, i will not force everyone to listen to my new list of creative undertakings.
1. basic four panel cartoon called "dear 13" about all the misconceptions i had about the oncoming "teen" years when i was 13.
will finish this later...fellow employees getting nosy

i really, really shouldn't have to work. why should i toil for the MAN all day when sweet inspiration visits me only at night?
i wanna skate all day and draw all night. rollerskate, that is.
pardon this blather, im very content at the moment.
yay for this past week. if only every week could end with kelley deal and a lovely long night phone call that made me smile even after i had hung up.
you would think that after having to learn countless times to just chill out and let everything work out as it should that i would have gotten the hang of it. but no, everytime i figure it out it's just as sweet.
