last night was delightful. after playing songs on the porch, yearning for attention (we gained four new fans), we made our way over to the attic of the arts coop, which we heard was filled with special treasures. and, oh mary, it sure is! among our many wonderful finds were: a giant latex bill clinton mask; a crash helmet painted similarly to that of super dave osborne or evil knevil; a super8 camera!; and lots of albums, including one of voice tracks of W.C. FIElDS (which i am listening to now, i love him, this is amazing). there was only a bit of light up there so we couldn't see very much -- we're going back this afternoon, i can't wait! that attic = goldmine!

so then we went to the library, hoping someone would pay attention to us there. rachel walked around crashing into things and hitting herself in the head with things. i followed in the bill clinton mask, 'filming' it with my new camera. minimal attention was given. we came back to 609 where seth, bryan, and jon dressed up funny with us and we continued to romp around campus a while. bryan wore the bill clinton mask and carried the picket sign they'd made for a protest reading "POTHEADS GO HOME". amazing. back to the attic in approx. three hours.

that magnificent bastard, mr. schmittgens, was on the front page of the chicago journal yesterday. the article is titled, "man with the golden job" (not clever) and it is all about is chicago authors course. i could barely finish the whole thing because i began projectile vomiting halfway through when the author described his classroom as "the thinking-man's dorm room". there are three pictures of him, each one exceedingly more creepy. the final shot is of ol' shmitty staring deep into the camera from behind his snobby grad-school podium - around the city hundreds of regulation catholic uniform skirts fall to ankles.
not.
i will forever hold that fucker in contempt for being the only teacher to ruin a 14 year streak of all A's in english. my desire to succeed for myself is only exceeded by my desire to spite him, and slap his face with my doctorate.

(and you know that he searches his own name on the internet all the time and wouldnt that just be poetic for him to read this!)

Farewell my concubine is really a beautiful movie. I love the way Chinese movies (I don't think that all, but many) are made with this golden tint.
That pillow is great. Who's up for making plaster casts of their breasts this summer? I know I am!!

Call me drunkard, but I have been sober for 2 of my waking hours today (I've only been awake since 1:30). I hung out with wally today and drank on his balcony in the beautiful warm sun. I don't think anyone knows the value of warm days as much as montrealers. Everyone becomes so happy when it gets warm, just because it's been cold for such a fucking long time.

pound cake at 9 am - how could i NOT love this job?
i attempted to snoop through my dad's apt. last night (i was "watering the plants") but i was immediately foiled by a bunch of horrific articles that he laid out right in the open. at a later date, when i have healed and when i am drunk, i will reveal these items to you and we will all laugh in that way that only finding "the best erotica of 1995" in your parent's bedroom can make you laugh. porn is one thing, but outdated literary porn (poppy z. brite - EW!) is a shame all its own.

When I was home, I told my dad some funny stories about drinking and talia's drinking habits (meaning that she drinks often) because usually these things turn into a good laugh for my dad and I count on his bad memory to erase any information by the next morning. Au contraire this time--my mom called me up and asked me "which one drinks a lot?" and "tato (dad) said that one of them drinks a lot, but he can't remember which one it was" fuckin' big mouth! Yeah, so I refuse to tell her because she won't give me a good reason to do so and I know she would just use the information against talia in the future. She then proceeds to tell me that I tell everyone else everything, and only tell her a little bit of anything. Then we hang up and she calls me to tell me that my beliefs are inconsistent because I make a big deal about animal treatment, but don't care about how people are treated, [wha?!] (which I don't know how to connect to the previous conversation). but she helps me with that by explaining that drinking is not treating people well, and I say that I'm not forcing anyone to drink! Anyways, I tell her that I don't tell her anything because she will lecture me, and she informs me that I am hiding things from them because I'm afraid of what they'll think about me!!! And I told them that "fine, I won't be honest with you anymore!!". My apologies if this valley-girl sounding spiel bored you.

bling bling. i hope y'all like the piggies. i'm working real hard-like to get it all finished. so hard, in fact, that people are getting annoyed with me for paying more attention to this box than them. boo hoo. i forgot how much i like to do this stuff. and how frustrating it can be.

my group facilitated class in feminisms class today and it was just swell! we did a nice job, i am proud.

i finally have had the opportunity to use the keeper today! it makes my period fun! it's really neat, i must say. and quite comfortable.

okay, i go now.

All the snow and freezing cold of montreal is worth the beauty of a nice day here. Carla and I just went to get ice cream then sangria. It was so pleasant. I really get along with her well one-on-one. I also get along with sangria really well one-on-one. Today was the last day of school, and so we had to celebrate and all.

this little piggy went to the circus?
I was waiting to tell you all about my race last weekend so I could set up a link to all the race results but it seems the Husky Invitational was not included on row2k.com because the san diego crew classic is so damn special. anyway, we won!! we beat washington state by 2 seconds and oregon and gonzaga (I think that was the third boat) by quite a bit. finally. I talked to my coach today about how set the line ups are: I'm back in the second boat and frustrated because I know I would do fine in the first. Jane said that another girl and I have too much presence in our boat to switch things up now, blah blah I'm probably stuck here. oh well.
steph, things are still the same as far as what we talked about. I assume that was your attempt at getting me to discuss those matters on the monster, however I will not. I can't. wink wink nudge nudge.
oh yeah, so I guess this guy Jason has some sort of alliance because since monday there have been signs all over campus asking "Do you agree with Renjy?" by the way the answer is still no, but you already knew that. Lodomercy!

I just went to that goddamn fucking link and I also feel sick. Christ, it's one thing to make it into a joke, and it's another thing to talk about the pain the cat is going through and bodily reactions and all that other shit. I hope someone makes them literally eat their own shit sometime soon.

Got haircut. Nice short stay in Chicago. Vic, tried to get a hold of you, but looks like I'll see you in 3 weeks or so. I saw my niece, and she is getting to be so big and plump and wonderful. Hey, so I know I'm biased and all, but I really think that she is a genius: evidence is that at one and half months old she has already begun to say "hi". Brilliant, I tell you. my bro and t have been getting one to three hours of sleep lately and L was sick and they had to do a spinal tap and a cather (y'know that pee tube thing) and the nurse kept messing it up! Fuckin' nurse. Okay, gotta run for an exam! love you kids

you know i have a strong stomach, and that it takes a lot to shock and offend me.
i am hesitant to link this site because i hate giving attention to people who do not deserve it but obviously want it oh-so-bad.
but this has made me ill this morning. there is nothing funny about it.
they claim it is just a joke. regardless, the fbi and peta are currently in the process of shutting them down.
