I went down to the darkroom a coupple weeks ago and found some paper and stuff, so I printed three pictures. Two were taken here, but one was of you, Matt, the picture I asked you if I could take as we were leaving the place of the 10 caddies. The other night this girl was in here and she was like, "I like those pictures... who's the GUY?"

oh, ladyfest. rachel and i were going to go to ladyfest midwest this weekend but we got over it in a hurry. we decided to save our energy for the chicago one which will actually rock.
people think humboldt park is a hot spot? who are these people? where did you here this? we almost ended up there before finding our precious home in uptown (oww!).
i love frank sinatra. and this misty weather.

Oh my Sweet Jesus. August 16-19 will be Ladyfest in chicago and I am drooling. Le Tigre and Bratmobile are playing for sure and it's going to be in the Wicker Park/Humboldt Park/Logan Square area! By the way, really starting to hate the fact that Humboldt Park is the "in" place to live, stupid fuckin' yuppies. Yeah, okay, harsh words, but that's that.

that whole jason thing is this creepy thing that has been going on at my school. One day all of these signs were all around campus saying "Do You Agree With Jason?" in huge letters. Then, last monday, all of these people started wearing these red t-shirts that said "I agree with jason"
I found out that it is this whole christian group thing, and Jason is coming to Case to speak tomorrow. He is this former football player turned child of god or some boring shit like that. Anyway, i plan to attend this fiasco and get upset in the process. woo hoo!
Oh my God, I just got back from this fabulous event called "Miss Taplin" that the art school kids just put on. It is this beauty pagent, only for drag queens, so there were all these guys dresed in drag trying to be the #1 diva and it was sooo much fun. Andrew was in it, and he wore his yellow wig and looked more like an old woman than a diva. And for the talent portion of the pageant, he did an ice cube dance to "ass ass titties titties" it was like the funniest thing i have ever seen. Also, Shawn's roomate was in it and he had on these latex breasts that he and his friends made, and they looked almost convincing, until they got squashed when he jumped out of a cake and stripped. Nothing like this would ever happen at Case.
Plus, and this ties in with the previous topic, after the event all of the drag queens went to the cafeteria, and all of these jesus people with "I Agree With Jason" t-shirts walked in, and there was so much conflict. One guy stood up on a table and lifted up his dress to reveal a speedo and the peoepl around him proceeded to stuff doller bills in it. it was outrageous.

why are all the grown-ups trying to kill my soul, ally (not mcbeal, sheedy)? why!! why?!
im so nerdy and eager for some good old structured intellectual lovin that i look at the beloit webpage all day long at work. you damn kids have no idea how lucky you are all. i cant wait! im so excited for college this time around. much more than the first whatever-dude-smoke-weed-everyday attempt.
will explain major life changing event tomorrow on company time. night lovers.

I love being smoke-free. It is really really wonderful, even though I miss/crave/want it sometimes. I realized that I couldn't have hurt my mom more in high school then by taking up smoking. Every time I tell her that I still haven't been smoking, she gets so emotional and happy. I'm on day 18 and vic's on day 16!!
Uh yeah, anyways, I just saw a very very disturbing movie called Julien Donkey-Boy by the same director who did KIDS. And I got myself some phat (ha ha) red runners.

hey everybody, i live somewhere! i have a home! that's right. rachel, daniel, and i (the new! three's company) found an apartment last night! it's near sheridan and montrose, on the quiet little tree-lined street of agatite (i keep wanting to say agitate), a few blocks from the 'beach'. now we get to call ourselves uptown girls! hehe. it's in a precious red house with a gate and a little yard, a giant living room with hardwood floors and a fireplace, and we can watch people work out at the world gym across the street from our back windows! we are all rather relieved not to end up in humboldt park (it was looking like that would be it). the only evident downside is that we can't have a kitty, but we're going to get an animatronic one instead (lie). now all we have to do is find jobs...

argh, i didnt say april fools to a single soul! and i was working in the food industry - the possibilities were endless and i squandered each one.
today i realized that the song ive been referring to as "church on time" for years is really "modern love" by david bowie. my appreciation of the song has increased greatly but my respect for david bowie has dwindled a bit. he is SO over the top - i love it!

April Fools is my favorite day...
I tricked and alienated everyone in my family, except for perhaps little baby L, today. It was too much fun. (Mind you I told them April Fools after every time). I told my parents that my sister had gone to the capital of Ukr, with a very militant Ukr Nationalist group and that the militia was there and she was on hunger strike, and that her phone in prague was tapped. I told my brother (here's the real kicker) that I was in trouble and needed $500 because I was dealing E and things went wrong. He was like "oh my god....uh....let me call you right back" obviously to converse with T, but I told him April Fools before he hung up and he responded by saying "It's march 31, dipshit" and I said "no, dipshit, it's april 1" Then he gradually started laughing more and more. Geez---I haven't heard dipshit used in ages. My roommate, el, told her sister that she was pregnant and marrying her boyfriend in the summer in Israel and her sister fell for it and thought it was funny after she found out it was april fools, so she told her mom about the joke and el mom refused to speak for her and was convinced that el was just "testing the waters" to see what they'd say because she really was going to marry him!! Oh April Fools Day, you bite us so frequently back in the ass, but you are so fucking great.
